There are a lot of things I see men do out there which they claim to be “Manly” – The simple truth is that it does not make you manly, in fact, it makes you seem weak. To be an alpha male, you need to act in such an orderly manner; ways that will make people want to give you respect you deserve.
In this article, I will be going through things that some men think are things that make them seem masculine, but really, it makes them lame — people fail to give these ones respect. Here are 8 things every alpha male must never do – why? Because it makes you unreasonable, and less manly.
1. Never Get into Senseless Fights
I was at a grocery store one day with one of my gym lads, just finished from the gym actually, I encountered this guy on a narrow path down the store aisle. He was right at the entrance of the aisle, while I was just in the middle. I was carrying two baskets that have occupied the space already. Long story short, I got to where he was and demanded to pass through, but he was so reluctant. Well, I did make my way past him, but he then said something so disrespectful.
At that moment, I could tell him off, get super bitter, which may have escalated into something much bigger. I could have thought to myself, “I’ve got my boy with me, we could just beat him up right now.” No, I didn’t. I only looked back at him, apologized for causing such convenience to him. Left the scene, without any trouble. That made me feel good afterwards because I didn’t end up in a mess.
So, guys, senseless or uncalled for fights are not just cool. If you can be strong and hold back on your part, just do it. Even if it’s not your fault or even if you think you will win the fight anyway, just be strong and ignore it all. Fighting doesn’t make you an alpha male, No!
2. Never Have a Dirty Car

Your car ought to reflect who you are. Having a dirty car is not cool. I’ve seen some guys say “Oh! having a dusty car is cool! Trust me, it is so cool, and it makes you look manlier.” Hell, no buddy! That is just disgusting.
If it’s all dirty on the outside, and on the inside, all we can see is knocked over coffee, coffee cups, water bottle, old food that sinks up your car… trust me, nobody will want to ride with you. But when you have a clean, fresh car, besides it makes you happy for being in a nice clean environment, everyone who gets into your car after that will say, wow, that is a clean car. And guess what? It doesn’t end there. These people will spread the news on how clean and fresh your car is. Also, this will make you seem “Manly.”
You don’t have to wash or have your car valeted very week. No, all you just have to do is maintain. You may decide to get the car clean every other week, but from when you clean it to when you get it cleaned again, make sure you maintain its neatness.
3. Never be Gross in Public

You know, I’ve seen some guys doing some gross things in public. Things like burping, picking noses, scratching their Bollocks or even putting their hands in their pants; all these in front of other people, and then, they laugh about it as if it’s okay because they are guys. Hmm, that’s just a DON’T.
Girls are never going to be okay with you being this disgusting in public, just because you are a guy. You don’t get a pass just because you are a dude. If I am right, it doesn’t work that way.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying you can’t do all of this, but not just in public, bruv! You’re alone at home and you find the need to do this, go for it. You’re in public but need to pick your nose, go to the nearest toilet, do whatever you want to do, but never forget to wash your hand; well, before you shake mine :).
Remember, you’re not manly because you burp in public or because you put your hands in your pants, no. This just shows you have no manners, and every guy should have manners; even more so as a respectable alpha male.
4. Never let Sports take Over your Life

This is another thing I see men do too much, if not way too much is letting sports take over their life. Watching sports or engaging in one isn’t a bad thing at all. I love sports, I watch football and also play, I love table tennis… but at the end of the day, unless you are an athlete and whatever sport you’re doing is your occupation, if your team losses you will be just fine. I’m not saying you should not be patriot about sports. I hate it so much when I see my favourite football team losses, it’s terrible but I make sure I’m okay.
Do not start a fight because of it, don’t be overly aggressive at people around you because of it, and importantly, do not cancel a plan with your girl or anyone else just because your team lost a game. Always remember, It’s just another game.
5. Never Get too Drunk

Never get drunk to a point that you won’t know what is going on around you anymore; It’s just embarrassing. If you are drinking more than everyone else in the house that night, I guess that you’ll have an embarrassing night. You’ll be the meme of the week. So, therefore, my tip regarding this is that, drink just a little bit less than all of your friends. When everyone else is on their third bottle or glass cup of alcohol, you should be on your one and half.
You don’t no one wants others to take embarrassing pictures of them falling asleep at the bar, or you are being the one acting silly that night, and if you are the one who drinks more than everyone else that night, they will get a meme out of you.
So, have a few drinks, enjoy your night, enjoy your friends, but ALWAYS have in control of yourself. Be the alpha male and never lose control because that is usually really bad.
6. Never think Its Girly to take Care of Yourselves
It’s usually unreasonable when guys say something like, “Oh wait, you wash your face? You do moisturise your face every single day?… Men don’t do that.”
Really?! So, you’re telling me, and other guys out there that men need to have dry and dirty skin on their faces? Because that’s manly? No! It doesn’t work like that. Girls will always appreciate a guy that takes care of his body and put the effort into looking good. Being dirty, unkempt, smelly, that’s not just manly. That’s bad hygiene.
Okay, you don’t need to get facials, masks every single day, no, but a steady and regular facial routine which maybe once every week would be beneficial. Never be afraid to take care of your skin and let people know that you care about the way you look. Brush your teeth and importantly, your tongue. Never skip that, you don’t want to have bad breath. And guess what? These guys that are saying these things will come up to you to know more about your grooming routine because they want to look as clean and attractive as you. No one wants to feel bad about the way they look.

7. Never Disrespect your Girlfriend/Wife

Couple argue all the time, that’s inevitable, we all get it. But I’ll give you some advice that has helped me in my relationship.
Never raise your voice at your partner,
Don’t swear,
Never call women names you know you would never laugh about if someone else calls your mother that
Doing these will never solve whatever arguments or disagreements there is in any way, but it makes it more worst! There is nothing more hurtful than having someone you love scream or say nasty things at you. Just like my girlfriend will say, “Do not say things that are hurtful only because of how you feel at that moment.” After saying these words, once it is out there, it will always be there forever. She will always remember the day you called her this or that.
It’s simply fine to be mad, but it’s never okay to be disrespectful.
Another tip to this is that, instead of disrespecting your significant other, Pamper her. Get her gifts, treat her. No Lady will question you saying “Why did you buy me these gifts? Why are you being nice to me? Why are you being a good man?” No, they won’t. Instead, they will be happy that you are treating them well. You never know, you may get the Boyfriend of the year.
Lastly on this, do not look at other women whilst with your girlfriend, wife, or even a female friend – this is disrespectful to the woman you are with. Not just when you are with them, even when not with then unless you are single, and fancy the lady.
8. Never be Underdressed

We live in a fashion world, where every outfit is well scrutinised This is such an uncomfortable feeling. Going to a place or an event, and everyone there put more effort than you. Trust me, it makes you feel like you don’t belong, and you have to go home to get your outfit right. Being underdressed is a real confidence killer.
So, therefore, before you choose your outfit, find out what the place is all about. Find out what occasion it is, what people are going to be there. These factors will make you choose the best outfit for the day.
Always remember, being Overdressed is better than being Underdressed.
Lastly, do not use ‘manly’ to support your behaviour, this is disrespectful within the Gentlemen District! Always remember, be the alpha male in the room.
