"I believe there is much more to be done at Hollow Earth than the obvious beginning place we teed up. instead of focusing on Kong's son, the film will once again pit the two titular monsters against one another. The filmmaker stated, "We tee up some mystery in [Godzilla vs. Kong], things I want to see resolved, explored, and taken to the next level. This is a pre-history of Planet Earth, where all the [Titans] originate from. Other reports have stated that the sequel won't happen, but if I have the chance, I know what I'll do.
